BIO:
Briele Hansen is an artist and educator living in Victoria, Australia. She has studied extensively in New Zealand, Italy and Australia, receiving a Master of Arts by Research in 2004 from RMIT University in Melbourne. She has been awarded a number of prizes and residencies over the past 20 years and has exhibited in Australia, New Zealand, Italy and the US.
Briele’s drawing, mixed media, sculpture, video, performance and documented process works explore relationship dynamics, assumptions and activities. Relationships may be interpersonal, social, material or environmental. Materials, processes and situations are carefully considered, researched and combined to both generate and question narrative, image and/or object.
