BIO:
Tina Scherzberg was born in Germany, and she lives and works in Frederiksberg, Denmark. Her work responds to central concerns, whether they are rooted in something personal, political or social. The continuous focus on a healing-aspect is a major theme which runs through her oeuvre. Scherzberg works in a variety of mediums, most notably painting, printmaking and embroidery. She graduated from the Funen Art Academy in 2004. Since 1996, Scherzberg has participated in workshops and residencies in Italy, led by the artists & educators rosenclaire, who also previously taught her while studying at the De Medici Art School in Florence. Scherzberg has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Galleries include Malmö Konsthall in Sweden, Den Frie Center of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen, along with venues in China, Italy and Germany. She has received several prestigious scholarships and work grants from institutions such as the Danish Arts Foundation and the Danish Academy Council.
