BIO:

Sarah Elliott is an artist and teacher whose paintings explore the felt dynamics of light and space through the subtle use of color and gradations of lightness within both figurative and non-figurative subject matter. Although born in the United States, Sarah has lived abroad most of her life. She has taught and exhibited her work in Hong Kong, Italy, Mainland China, France and the United States. Since 1993 she has participated in residencies in Italy and South Africa with artists and educators Rosenclaire and, since 2002, with artist, scientist and teacher Francis Pratt at The Painting School of Montmiral in France. In 2019, Sarah returned to the United States where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at Boston University. Currently she is teaching painting and drawing at the University of New Hampshire, USA.
