BIO:
Tracy Grubbs’ paintings, drawings and street performances highlight the fundamentals of interconnection, impermanence, and the ethical stance that emerges from that understanding. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at several venues, including: the Oppland Kunstenter in Lillehammer, Norway; Galerie Podbrzie in Krakow, Poland; The Headlands Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California; the Round Weather Gallery in Oakland, California; the Morris Graves Museum of Art in Eureka, California; and the Marin County Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2022, she was nominated for the SECA (Society for the Expansion of Contemporary Art) Artist Award sponsored by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and in 2023 received an artist grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission. Tracy has studied art and art history at the San Francisco Art Institute, at U.C. Berkeley and in regular workshops in Italy. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Philosophy from St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY.
