BIO:
Diane Jacobs is a California-born, Portland-based visual artist who makes artist books, installations, mixed media sculpture, and works on paper that are influenced by research, personal experience, community engagement, collaboration, sense of place, and a conviction that art inspires change. Art making is how she examines complexities, conveys contradictions, and confronts injustices. Diane uses materials that spur associative and visceral reactions to interpret, critique, and celebrate the world around her. Her artwork is in the Portland Art Museum, The de Young, The Achenbach Foundation of Graphic Arts, Getty Research Institute, SFMOMA, Library of Congress, among many other special collections libraries across the country. Diane has worked with Rosenclaire for over 30 years.
